Kestrel & Trek*2

Finally some non-cannondale bikes! Copped em both on Saturday. (i realized the best deals goup thu/fri night btw) Full photshoot and specs up tomorrow.

First one up is a 1988 Trek 2300, not the nicest looking but it has full Shimano 600. It's going to be my dad's new bike (I'm selling his old one)

Next was my Find of the Year #2: is 2000 Kestrel KM40 Airfoil (or Ironman 500)
Got the bike w/ the SPINERGY's for $350.. WHAT!? good ass deal, too bad it kinda doesn't fit me. FULL DURA ACE components too.

One more! for lauren but I might re-sell it (i'm poor). 1988 Trek 1200 with Shimano 600

2000 Cannondale Multisport 2000 Caad4

I must really like cannondales, or others hate them and keep selling them to me!

First the bad:
-whoever owned this before me (triathlete) didn't take very good care of the bike, lots of scratches on the parts and frame and an aerobar pad is missing
-front derailleurs/shifters doesn't work so it's stuck on the 53 chainring.
-wheels are not very true, lots of wobble and brake rub + -rear brake gets kinda of stuck..

And now the good:
-it was only 85 bucks!
-i think this bike actually fits me (kinda)
-it looks beautiful and it has ultegra components

So yeah, it was a hell of a deal so I couldn't really pass it up.. AND since I got it for so cheap I can afford a legit tune up for the bike. Also qyel dented my CAAD8frame which i just frickin got 4 days ago =(

Damn it's so smooooth

Shifts flawlessly, all the things i've heard about Shimano 105 components are true! A nice smooth up and down 9 miler for my first ride! It really does destroy climbs. On the downside I kind of tried too hard at the end and almost passed out when i got back home :D

Also, today I went to the ASU cycling and triathlon club meeting. Cool peopl.. sweet deals.. I think i'm gonna join!

2007 Cannondale CAAD8 Optimo 1

Sold the '85 SR500 and got a more modern Cannondale today. The owner rode it only 200 miles and won an uphill race with it, and theres only two scratches on the entire bike so it was definitely taken care of. It came with 99% stock parts, everything except the carbon seat post. This is my first roadie with index shifters!!! I was also scared that the 54cm size was too big for me but luckily this model runs a bit small. Currently rockin the clip/straps until i can save up for some legit cycling shoes. I'll be keeping this bike for a while, i promise!
